Position will advise and mentor assigned technical EHS responsibilities for Stress-Tek, Pacific Instruments and Vishay Transducers sites. 80% on-site management in Wendell with 20% for Stress-Tek, Pacific Instruments and Vishay Transducers.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide support and implement processes for control of key health and safety aspects; lockout/tag out, hazard communication, industrial hygiene, radiation safety, personal protective equipment, ventilation and slips/trips and falls. Monitor and aid in management of key environmental aspects; compliance for air, storm water, process waste water and hazardous waste shipping. Provide on-going support and training for EHS compliance topics based on site EHS aspects. Support performance and timely closure of incident investigation and audit corrective actions. Perform and support audits as required by legal agencies, internal VPG EHS policies and property/liability insurer. Perform development and provide timely update and review for site EHS procedures. Support internal and external Safety Data Sheet management including timely updating based on customer needs/requests. Ensure completion of required regulatory reports including OSHA 300, Tier 2 Reporting, Bi-Annual Hazardous Waste Reporting and Form R. Ensure completion of required corporate reporting and annual corporate objectives to include; quarterly KPIs, and EHS task management, and required monthly inspections. Provide advice for new chemical use, modifications of products to ensure conformance to permit conditions, safety data sheet requirements and hazardous material storage and waste disposal.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Environmental, Health and Safety or other related EH&S discipline. Professional certification as a CSP, CIH, CHMM or PE is preferred. Five or more years of experience managing EHS compliance and process implementation in an assembly and/or chemical manufacturing or processing site/facility. Experience managing multiple sites is preferred. Working knowledge of CAA, CWA, RCRA, EPCRA and HAZWOPER and OSHA is required. Specific experience managing air permit, storm water permit, wastewater permit and hazardous waste is preferred.
